America’s Promise Alliance is the nation’s largest partnership organization dedicated to improving the lives of young people. Alliance partners are national organizations from all sectors, including education organizations, nonprofits, corporations, associations, and faith-based groups. Through the collaborative work of our partner organizations, we are committed to providing the key supports – or Five Promises – for all children, especially the most vulnerable. The Five Promises include:
We welcome Alliance partners who share a belief that children and youth are a national priority and are committed to collaboration as a way to reach more young people with the fundamental supports they need to succeed.
Together, through the Grad Nation, Alliance partners are working to reach a shared goal of mobilizing America to end the dropout crisis and ensuring that high school graduates are prepared for college and a 21st century career. By working across sectors at the national, state and local levels; mobilizing communities to bring the fundamental supports to our most vulnerable young people; and aggressively supporting education reform the Alliance is working to help end the high school dropout crisis and transform the life of every child.
America’s Promise Alliance partners are national in scope (with a reach of five or more states) and share a belief that children and youth are a national priority and are committed to collaboration as a way to reach more young people with the fundamental supports they need to succeed.

Each partner brings unique assets to the work of the Alliance, but all partners agree to:
- Promote and support the 5 Promises framework and the Grad Nation campaign
- Participate in Alliance surveys and evaluations
- Identify a single staff member to serve as Main Point of Contact
- Publicize APA initiatives and opportunities to networks
- Activate networks as appropriate on relevant issues
Each partner benefits from membership in the Alliance in various ways; all partners are:
- Invited to periodic partner networking meetings, webinars and technical assistance calls
- Encouraged to subscribe to the Alliance’s weekly e-newsletter, APB.
- Recipients of monthly partner updates and periodic interest-area alerts
- Connected with a member of the Alliance’s staff, who will serve as the organization’s primary point of contact at the Alliance.
