PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BECAUSE THEY CONTAIN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT APPLY TO YOUR USE OF THE “FIVE PROMISES AND THE CANDIDATES” VIDEO (THE “VIDEO”) AND CONSTITUTE A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND US.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE VIDEO OR ANY PORTION OF IT, YOU ARE CONFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO, SHALL ABIDE BY AND COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE TERMS OF USE.
These are the terms and conditions that constitute the official terms of use (“Video Terms of Use”) between you and AMERICA’S PROMISE that apply to your use of the Video or any portion of it.
1. CONSISTENCY WITH AMERICA’S PROMISE’S 501(C)(3) STATUS
America’s Promise is a non-partisan, charitable organization that is organized and operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As a result of this status, America’s Promise may not and does not engage in political activity in connection with elections for public office. The Video was created to educate the public regarding various Presidential candidates’ views on issues affecting children in the United States. The Video may not be used in any manner that indicates or suggests that America’s Promise supports or opposes any candidate or political party or in any way that is inconsistent with America’s Promise’s Section 501(c)(3) status.
2. REQUIRED MESSAGE
Unless specifically authorized by America’s Promise to omit this message, any person or organization wishing to use or display the Video or any portion of it in any manner must include the following message at the start of the Video in an easily readable format for at least 15 seconds:
AMERICA’S PROMISE IS A NON-PARTISAN, CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION THAT IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATING UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THIS VIDEO IS INTENDED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT SUPPORT OR OPPOSE ANY CANDIDATE FOR OFFICE OR ANY POLITICAL PARTY.
