Cultivating a Land of Opportunity
Mission: Graduate’s Cultivating a Land of Opportunity Summit, aims to engage community members as partners in research-based, collaborative solutions to help more of our students graduate from high school and succeed in college.
Following an opening plenary featuring local speakers, participants will attend one of 15 workshops exploring research based strategies that have been shown to close the opportunity gap and help students excel from early childhood through college. Armed with their learning, participants will then attend strategy group conversations that are being led by community leaders working in several of our community’s existing education improvement collaboratives, including Mission: Graduate, the Unidos Project for Latino Student Success, ABC Community School Partnership, and the New Mexico AfterSchool Alliance. The goal of these conversations is to solicit input on existing collaborative activities and to enlist community members in helping to achieve our shared objectives.
