Asheville, NC Community Summit
Asheville-Buncombe GradNation Community Summit
If a middle school student falls behind on their attendance, gets two or more behavioral referrals, or fails course completion in either Math or English, without intervention, their chances of graduating drops to 25%. What will it take to ensure that every one of our kids not only makes it to High School graduation but also thrives while on that path and beyond? What role can every member of our community play toward achieving that goal?
United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County and the Asheville Buncombe Middle Grades Network are proud to host the GradNation Community Summit. On March 12, teachers, families, nonprofits, businesses, elected officials, the faith community and concerned neighbors will join us for a morning full of powerful examples of successful strategies (national and local), inspiration and the creation of concrete next steps.
