Chicago Dropout Prevention Summit

Summit Location: Spertus Institute

The summit convened by the Chicago Public Schools was a first-ever community discussion around the effects of truancy on student engagement and drop outs. As a result of local partner collaboration, the Chicago Alliance was formed and have charged themselves with launching a student engagement campaign this summer in a few of Chicago’s underperforming high schools. At least 250 local leaders attended the summit and participated in post summit action planning.
