Event Description

United Way of Metropolitan Chicago will again be convening a one-day Education Summit this fall – this year in collaboration with America’s Promise Alliance and their GradNation campaign. Capitalizing on our successful 2014 event, United Way will bring together approximately 400 leaders from across the corporate, non-profit, philanthropic, and government sectors.  With the theme Leadership in Challenging Times: Coming Together for Our Students, the Summit will highlight initiatives which illustrate innovative leadership that is making a difference for youth, and changing their odds for high school graduation and beyond. Former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will be the keynote speaker, setting the stage for celebrating the success of many education efforts across the region, and the courage and commitment required to serve all of our students.
