Cincinnati Dropout Prevention Summit

The Summit began with a CEO breakfast, attended by 60 local business leaders. During the breakfast, the superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools briefly described the major issues facing the District and Dr. Robert Balfanz discussed the national scope of the problem and successful solutions from across the country. The breakfast ended with a call to action and support for our children. The Summit attracted more than 250 people representing parents, youth, government, community and faith based groups, educators, business and the juvenile justice system. More than 50 people volunteered to work on developing the action plan and several organizations agreed to lead specific areas of the Plan.
