Indiana Dropout Prevention Summit

Summit Location Details/Start and End Times: Indianapolis, IN 


  • The Indiana Dropout Prevention Leadership Summit, themed Hoosier Youth at a Crossroads, engaged over 900 representatives from almost every county in the state. Participants included state leaders and community delegates from every sector. The summit was designed to build a partnership that will focus on creating local action plans to significantly decrease the high school dropout rate in Indiana. A State Farm agent in each county was the point person for each county team which prepared data on education, health, economics, demographics, etc. prior to attending. Bill Milliken, founder, Communities In Schools provided the keynote address.
