“A Summit of Experts” Generating Solutions to Address Dropout and the Achievement Gap
The Minnesota Alliance With Youth is supporting Summits throughout Minnesota focused on raising awareness and finding solutions to dropout issues and the achievement gap. Two Alliance initiatives, GradMinnesota and the Minnesota Youth Council, are engaging various partners locally and statewide. This event is for invited youth and representatives from key organizations working to help young people stay engaged in school and overcome challenges that may interfere with graduating from high school. The Summit is metro wide (including the areas of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Congressional Districts 4 & 5). Young people will be asked to participate in directed large and small group discussions and action planning. They will be asked to share their perspectives and experiences to inform how we can address the barriers that interfere with staying in and completing school.
