Rochester GradNation Community Summit: Coordinate, Communicate, Collaborate
Convened by the Rochester Area Community Foundation, the Rochester GradNation Community Summit is an effort to build on existing community momentum to close the educational achievement gap. The summit will provide participants with an opportunity to share information, network and collaborate around current and future efforts.
Speakers include Anne Kress and Leonard Brock from ROC the Future and Patrick Corvington of the Campaign for Grade Level reading, who will discuss the importance of third grade reading to success in school and life. Engaging and interactive breakout sessions will explore the components of school climate, community supports and youth development that contribute to a young person’s ability to learn and grow in a healthy way.
Ultimately the summit is a community-wide effort to coordinate, communicate and collaborate to make success a reality for Rochester youth.
