Santa Ana Dropout Prevention Summit

Summit Location:  Tiger Woods Learning Center


  • The summit was convened by the Orange County United Way at the Tiger Woods Learning Center with over 150 participants in attendance. Presenters included William Habermehl, the county superintendent, and Dr. Russlynn Ali, Director of Education Trust West. Action planning sessions were focused on Anaheim and Santa Ana (the two cities in Orange County with the highest drop out rates). Next steps include developing an implementation team to follow up on the strategies highlighted in the action planning sessions.
