Donna M. Anderson is vice president of operations and finance for the America’s Promise Alliance. She is directly responsible for cash management, banking, investment, accounting, and procurement management. Other duties include construction and implementation of the annual operating and program budget, internal operations including human resources, information technology, and contract negotiation and implementation.
Since joining the Alliance in July 2003 as a fundraising consultant, Anderson has served as director and vice president of resource development before being promoted to her current position. As vice president of resource development, Anderson was principally responsible for conceptualizing and implementing integrated fundraising programs to build a diversified private funding base with annual and multi-year support from corporations, associations, foundations and individuals.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Anderson served as deputy executive director and treasurer of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), the political arm of the Republican Conference of the U.S. House of Representatives. Her career at the NRCC spanned 18 years, with five chairmen—Reps. Guy Vander Jagt (R-MI), Bill Paxon (R-NY), John Linder (R-GA), Tom Davis (R-VA) and Tom Reynolds (R-NY). During her tenure at the NRCC, Anderson was principally responsible for the development and operation of all fundraising strategies and programs, financial management of $50 million to $100 million annual operating and political budgets, and development and implementation of the NRCC’s strategic business plan.
