Michael Stanton

Associate, Mission Advancement

Michael Stanton comes to America’s Promise as an associate on the Mission Advancement team, working with donors to support the various programs and initiatives offered through America’s Promise.
 
Originally from Massachusetts, Michael has volunteered and worked at various nonprofit organizations in the state with deep focuses on youth and underserved populations, including My Brother’s Keeper, the Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, Cradles to Crayons and the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton. 
 
Various volunteer experiences at nonprofit organizations and development training through the Center for Nonprofit Management at Stonehill, has led Michael to a career in the nonprofit sector.  
 
Prior to joining the team at America’s Promise Michael spent two years in Tripura, India working as an English and political science teacher at St. Andre English Medium School, Bodjungnagar. It was through this experience that he discovered an interest and passion for education and the obstacles facing youth populations.
 
Michael holds a BA in Communications and International Studies from Stonehill College in Easton, MA and is currently pursuing a MA in International Development Studies at George Washington University.
