Achieving a 90 percent Graduation Rate: What’s Working to Connect the High School Experience with Pathways to Postsecondary Education
The GradNation campaign invites you to join a webinar on June 19th, 2018 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET that dives deeply into the Pathways Platform area. Young people with post-secondary education tend to have higher levels of employment and wages, increased access to health care and retirement plans, and greater levels of community and civic engagement later in life. In response, the high school experience is changing to better prepare young people for a variety of post-secondary pathway options. In this GradNation webinar, we will examine two approaches that successfully connect and prepare students to post-secondary pathways including, but not limited to a four-year college degree, two-year college, workforce readiness programs, and overall adult success.
Participants will learn from the Linked Learning Alliance and Bard High School Early College Baltimore. Each will talk in detail about the resources, partnerships, and capacities needed to implement their models, the data that speaks to their efficacy, and insights into how the models may be replicated. Join the webinar to hear how Linked Learning schools in California are merging college readiness curriculum with CTE programs and how Bard High School Early College makes dual enrollment a reality for young people in five states.
This webinar is in support of the GradNation campaign Pathways platform area. The GradNation campaign provides those working to increase high school graduation rates with data, best practices, and opportunities to connect and learn. Our goal is to increase the nation’s on-time high school graduation rate to 90 percent.
