Event Name
GradNation Fresno Summit 2015
Event Description
Fresno County, in partnership with America's Promise Alliance and AT&T, will host the GradNation Fresno Summit on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the California State University, Fresno University Dining Hall, East Wing. The purpose of the summit is to bring together business owners, educators, government, civic organizations, nonprofits, higher education, philanthrophy, the faith community, child advocates, students, and parents to develop workable solutions and an action plan, in alignment with local initiatives, to increase the number of students who graduate from high school.
In alignment with the community dialogue that occurred with the 2009 America's Promise Drop Out Prevention Summit, the recommendations made by the 2012 FUSD Graduation Task Force, current TCM work plans, the Fresno STRIVE Road Map to Success, the Community Solution Action Plan for the Campaign for GLR (to be drafted Fall 2015), and the plans to apply for the All American City Award of 2016, the 2015 GradNation Summit will engage the commitment of community stakeholders to address graduation improvement and create an action plan for ensured success.
