- Career Pathways and Workforce Development.
The Summit is an invitation to all community stakeholders to come together with the shared vision of improving outcomes from birth to career, developing a common understanding of the gaps and key challenges that our youth and families face, and aligning efforts around shared outcomes and collective actions.
The Summit will have welcome remarks by Mayor Javier Gonzales, youth presentations of the recent Youth Summit outcomes, a “Learning Talk” by Angelo Gonzales of the Mission Graduate, a plenary session by local leaders highlighting how our community is working together with focus on children, youth and families and what it would take for us to truly improve outcomes together. Participants will also learn more about current efforts in Santa Fe including Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration (SF B2C), the Mayor’s Children, Youth and Family Community Cabinet (CYFCC), and President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Community Challenge (MBK) to which Santa Fe is committed.
Designed to catalyze community-wide commitment and collective action to create greater opportunities and better outcomes for all children and youth in Santa Fe, the summit will end with a Call to Action to all stakeholders. Participants will be invited to sign a Community Compact to support and align efforts on shared outcomes and identify tangible actions that they can take as a stakeholder – whether they are a policymaker, a funder, nonprofit, business, parent, youth or volunteer.
