Ernest Bihm is the manager of Alliance Engagement at America’s Promise Alliance, the nation’s largest partnership dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth, where he works at the intersection of research, policy and community engagement.
As a senior member of the research team at the Center for Promise, Bihm explores the ways that community organizations across the country are working together to improve youth outcomes and experiences across school, family, and neighborhood contexts.
In addition to cultivating relationships with a portfolio of Alliance partners, Bihm collaborates with community leaders across to country to create greater awareness, engagement and coordinated action around increasing graduation rates as part of the Grad Nation Community Summits Initiative.
Previously, Bihm served as program coordinator for the Alliance’s National Dropout Prevention Summit initiative which convened over 100 dropout prevention summits across the country bringing together over 30,000 mayors and governors, business owners, child advocates, school administrators, students and parents to end about the high school dropout crisis.
Bihm is a graduate of Tufts University, an Institute for Educational Leadership Policy Fellow, and a native of Baton Rouge, LA.
