Ariana Aggleston

Ariana’s experience in the nonprofit sector began in 2015 with a mentorship role at a local organization through a work-study program while she received a Bachelor’s Degree in English at Michigan State University. As a first-generation college student, she witnessed firsthand some of the inequities that exist along the path to postsecondary education. Through this role, Ariana helped to develop and grow a college prep program for low-income students in the East Lansing area.
After graduation, she moved to Boston to leverage hre experience with youth mentorship and nonprofit and served two AmeriCorps Service Years with City Year Boston. This experience within Boston Public Schools opened her eyes to the broader landscape of K-12 education.
Prior to joining APA, Ariana was a Program Manager for the Citizen Schools Makers and Mentors Network, a nationwide program designed to build community capacity in STEM and maker-centered learning.
Ariana lives in Boston. In her free time, she loves exploring the city with her dog, Captain Sniffer, creating new vegan recipes, and painting!
