Leadership Cohorts: Radical Support, Joy, and a Learning Engine for the Field

Last month marked our first full year of programming — and two years since our official launch — for the reimagined Alliance community.

To honor this milestone, we had the opportunity to convene several of our Leadership Cohorts at Lone Rock in Colorado to reflect on what we’ve accomplished together this year and begin to coalesce around shared goals for our community and our collective work over the next several years.

When we launched this work, we designed our Leadership Cohorts to facilitate deep sharing, problem solving, and content-driven exploration among leaders who serve in the same functional role at organizations of similar stage and size. With 273 leaders across 78 orgs now enrolled, Leadership Cohorts function as both the relational center and a critical learning engine for the field.

Our model focuses on real-time challenges leaders are facing and creates a space for ideating on collective opportunities and surfacing solutions to common problems. And our leaders develop deep, lasting relationships and habits of working together that go beyond participation in our community and programming.

Closing out the year in community with these incredible leaders reaffirmed for me the power of what we’re building together, and we’re so grateful to all our members who poured into each other and themselves over the past 12 months.

As we ring in a new year, we want to thank the leaders and organizations who have been with us since the beginning, and whose commitment to making this community a special and impactful place has inspired so many others to join the effort. It’s a privilege to support each of you, and I can’t wait to see what we build together in 2024.
