Daniella Morello
Director of Development
Alyssa is an experienced fundraiser and a passionate advocate for equity, with two decades of experience working in nonprofit resource development. She is deeply committed to creating meaningful change in her community and beyond, and brings a wealth of expertise in grant writing, foundation relations, and fundraising operations.
Before joining America’s Promise Alliance, Alyssa worked in Development at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Previously, she spent ten years as Director of Development at The Attic Youth Center, Philadelphia’s LGBTQ youth center, where she significantly increased revenue from major funders and individual donors to support a broad array of programs for LGBTQ young people. Alyssa also brings valuable experience as a nonprofit and city government consultant.
Alyssa has held board roles with several Philadelphia-based organizations serving children and youth, including Northern Children’s Services and Children’s Community School. She currently sits on the grantmaking committee for the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund.
Alyssa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and anthropology from Franklin & Marshall College and Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Philadelphia with her partner, twins, dog, and four rescue cats. When not working, Alyssa enjoys connecting with her close-knit neighborhood community and exploring parks and restaurants with her family.
