Alliance Community in Action
By Sadiq Ali, Vice President of Alliance Community
Last month at the JFF Horizons Summit in New Orleans, we were honored to host several Alliance leaders for a powerful Alliance Community Connection Dinner.
Thr gathering was part of our ongoing commitment to cultivating meaningful relationships among members, creating space for authentic community, and supporting leaders in tapping into the collective knowledge, wisdom, and lived experience of the Alliance.
Thanks to the leaders who joined us from Camelback Ventures, CareerVillage, College Track, COOP, iMentor, NPower, and One Million Degrees, whose presence helped make the evening rich with insight, vulnerability, laughter, and purpose.
In a time when our sector is facing unprecedented challenges—from funding uncertainty to mounting pressures on youth and communities—we believe more than ever in the power of connection.
These moments of gathering, reflection, and shared vision are not just nice-to-haves; they are necessary. They remind us that we are not alone, that we are part of something larger, and that our collective strength is greater than any single organization could ever achieve on its own. The dinner was a powerful reminder that community is not just a value—it’s a strategy. And in this moment, we’re choosing it on purpose.
